First, thanks for commenting at my place. Doing so made me come here and read this, which led to a post at Alliance HQ.

I was uncertain how to react to Heather's plan. It sounded good in theory, but I know how delinking makes people cranky. My brain couldn't reconcile the conflict.

Seeing what you wrote reminded me, that, yes, this is just for fun, and it's all about the links. Play hard, but don't take it seriously.

I think the big thing of it is that the Alliance is forever and always mentioning the Puppy Blender and then linking to him. If after a week it makes absolutely no difference and we fail to affect the data, we'll have a reversal of fortune and call it a move to mollify the other side when we "relink." We should definitely do the positive thing of looking for worthy content among our members and pointing it out to all who come to visit.

I certainly didn't mean to offend anybody. I'll go post this on the Alliance main site. I've been joking with my husband that he ought to join the Axis of Naughty just so that we could take the war home.

Hadn't heard about this, but I strongly disapprove of de-linking. Just for good measure, I am going to link to this blog right now! I might just get carried away and link to all combatants...
