Actually, Ima Hogg was well known in Houston Society and is well respected and is very generous to charitable needs. I do not think her name held her back at all, but then having all that money probably helped alot. I do think that she never married on purpose, because she was proud of that name. ;)

Just for the record...

Gov Hogg is my great ( x2 or 3) grandfather.

Family legend says the other daughter was named Youra.
