*Water Hazards

You can survive your car going into water.

Assuming there isn't a bad current and you can swim, you should be able to live if you get out of your vehicle. To get out of your vehicle, you should carry a hammer in your vehicle. Electric windows probably won't work once your vehicle hits water, and you'll need to get the window open somehow.

This concludes Jen's PSA of the day.

Things they should include in the warnings on the inside of your visor.

I've never wanted electric windows just because the very idea of them annoys me... kinda like electric toothbrushes and can openers.

One thing tough: The ladies drowned, not suffocated. Water had gotten into the car and, once it reach a critical level, they should have been able to hold their breath and open the doors rather easily -- the pressure having been relieved -- then just swim 35 feet to the surface.

My guess is that they drowned because they panicked, couldn't think calmly or clearly, and, in the end, resolved to just held their breaths 'til they fell asleep.

Sad sad sad sad.

Just another reason why electric windows suck.

The other being that they WILL stop functioning correctly eventually, and they WILL cost a forture to repair.
