Blog Traffic Tip

How do you get a ton of traffic on Election Day without actually posting anything political or interesting?

1. Plan ahead.
2. Interview a blogger who will one day be huge.
3. Have said blogger put a prominent link to the interview on his site.
4. Make sure said now-huge blogger has trouble voting on Election Day. (If he's a Republican in Chicago, this will be easy.)
5. Reap the hits.
6. Be grateful. Thanks, Matt!

(By the way, Bill posted something today.)

Thanks, Beautiful!

[although I would have preferred the no-hassle-voting today]

Gee, I stop by here every time my newsreader says you've put up a new post...

That's why I'm here.

Jack, you're extra special like that. I'm talking about the 300 hits that weren't you or any of my "regulars"...like, you. And say, you. Oh, and Spork. And, umm, Pete?

I was among the first to trackback that post, having had a related experience in Chicago. Got me 80some hits, and it appears that a few of those folks stayed and looked around. You never know what will catch people's attention. I got a hit today off a trackback from February. About Juliette's hair, yet.
