As long as I'm sharing snippets of my 18th year, and as long as the statute of limitations has run out, check out the picture of the side of our lovely Iowa Capitol Building:

Notice the walkway, wide enough to accommodate a vehicle? It accommodated my parents' minivan once.

Of course, I'm speaking as someone who lives near Madison, Wisconsin--home of a capitol building only eleven inches shorter than the US Capitol (you know us Badgers... never lacking in pride).
