Would you rather live to be 100 with the body of a 25-year-old, or the mind of a 25-year-old?
Posted by Jennifer at January 13, 2005 12:32 PMThat's kinda hard. I'd say the body of a 25-year-old ..maybe I'm just vain...
Posted by: Holly at January 13, 2005 01:59 PMWell, I'd have to say body too. I know some pretty old folks, and I daresay they've got their shit together. Granted, your memory begins to wane as you get older, but imagine all the stuff you could do in your life if your body never gave out. Instead of working some crap job until you were sixty-five just to save money to reitre on, you could work a job you really like for ten years longer, save the same amount of money, and spend the last 25 years of your life living it up.
Posted by: shank at January 13, 2005 02:04 PMI am planning on living to at least 100 but I'd really rather not tote around a 25 year-old body or a 25-year old mind. With proper preservation I'm sure it wouldn't be an aesthetic issue but still, that's quite the albatross around the neck. If I had to pick one I'd take the mind because I could put that in a pouch on my wheelchair.
Posted by: Jim at January 13, 2005 02:11 PMOh, you meant if I had one or the other! Silly Jim.
Okay then, look at it like this:
You are twenty-five and wake up with the body of a 100 year old. Argh!!!
You are 100 and wake up with the body of a 25 year-old. Woo hoo!!!
Gimme the body.
Posted by: Jim at January 13, 2005 02:12 PMInteresting. I'd go with the mind, myself...I'm not as worried about my looks as I am about Alzheimer's or something like that.
Posted by: Jennifer at January 13, 2005 02:47 PMI'll go with the mind of the 25 year old. At 43, I already have the body of a 25 year old, so why should that change in another 53 years? ;)
Posted by: Rev. Mike at January 13, 2005 03:08 PMI'd rather have the mind, as long as my attitude isn't the same as when I was 25. My grandma is in a convalesent home (I think that's what you call it), and she's quick as a whip, she just can't motor around. So many of her fellow inmates crap their pants, run around screaming, or just have vacant looks in their eyes.
Gimme the brains .. or you'd be just crappin your 25-year-old pants, and stripping off your clothes running around an old folks home with your 25 year old body. Damn perverts.
Posted by: Oorgo at January 13, 2005 04:42 PMWait.
Are you saying, "The mind of a 100 year old alzhiemer's patient" and "the body of a 25 year old Michael Moore?"
Posted by: Trey Givens at January 13, 2005 08:18 PMMind.
If I'm smart, I can make money & BUY a new body.
Or at least the important parts.
