Which of your parents do you most resemble personality-wise? Does it horrify you or make you proud?
Posted by Jennifer at January 27, 2005 09:00 AMI think I'm a good mix of both, but I'd say I favor my father a little more. I have his fascination with how things work, but I also have his propensity to be an impatient, critical asshole. My mom donated some softer, more creative traits, but I think they're muted by other qualities. I'm not horrified that I resemble them, I think it's funny. You know, you grow up around these people, and all their little idiosyncrasies drive you up the wall. Then you grow up and realize that you're a product of those annoying facets, and they are to some extent ingrained in you. I find it amusing.

Posted by: Rev. Mike at January 27, 2005 10:43 AMI definitely take after my father. That's where I get my anal retentive nature, which forms the base of my personality. Fortunately it's tempered by mild insanity from my mother so I can still approximate normal function.
Posted by: Jim at January 27, 2005 10:52 AMMy Dad. It doesn't bother me either way. I am who I am.
Posted by: Boudicca at January 27, 2005 10:10 PMProud to say my Dad, the one eyed jeweler who can sell ice to Eskimos and fis a cuckcoo clock better than the maker.
Come see me. Im not as prolific as you but a girl can dream.
