Hmm.
"Wherever Islam went, it did not destroy the local culture, but transformed it into an Islamic reality. What were rejected were elements of a clearly un-Islamic nature."Posted by Jennifer at November 4, 2005 07:00 AM | TrackBack-Seyyed Hossein Nasr
And I wasn't tall for my age, I was young for my height.

Islam is in its origins an Arab religion. Everyone not an Arab who is a Muslim is a convert. Islam is not simply a matter of conscience or private belief. It makes imperial demands. A convert's worldview alters. His holy places are in Arab lands; his sacred language is Arabic. His idea of history alters. He rejects his own; he becomes, whether he likes it or not, a part of the Arab story. The convert has to turn away from everything that is his. The disturbance for societies is immense, and even after a thousand years can remain unresolved; the turning away has to be done again and again. People develop fantasies about who and what they are; and in the Islam of converted countries there is an element of neurosis and nihilism. These countries can be easily set on the boil.from Beyond Belief
The Islam that we see trying to conquer and occupy nations like France, Indonesia, Holland, Afghanistan, Iraq, Is not only an arab nationalist, but an arab SUPREMICIST movement.
It is a caste system, just being Muslim is not enough, just look at the shia in Iraq being blown up expendable even though they are muslim. Even if we in america all were to convert as they want, we would still be less than human in their eyes, therefore expendable.
Oh, and lets not forget the whole slavery thing.
