An Iowa lady decided to photograph and visit all the Iowa county courthouses, and she has put together a pretty nifty site for them.
It's a cool way to preserve and present history.

I didn't think that anyone who hadn't attended fourth grade in Maryland even knew who who Charles Carroll was, and here he inspired a county name in Iowa. Cool.
Posted by: nic at March 2, 2009 07:31 PMI once told Nic I'd like to go to all of the county seats in Maryland. Seeing as how there are only 23 counties (plus Baltimore City, a county-equivalent), as opposed to 99 in Iowa...I'm very, very impressed with the work this lady put into it.
