According to Ted, anyway.
What's the explanation for their annoying yappy-ness?
Posted by Jennifer at February 12, 2004 03:06 PMMostly their small size. Like any other breed, there are barky individuals and ones less so. Some big dogs won't shut up either, but nobody calls them 'yappy'.
Short version: a dog is a dog is a dog. :)
Posted by: Ted at February 12, 2004 03:15 PMFor a full-size poodle, it's probably that silly-looking hairdo. Yes, I've heard it was designed to help them swim (they were bred for hunting, as retrievers), but if so why don't other breeds get treated to it?

Posted by: Pixy Misa at February 12, 2004 06:51 PMOur poodle will never ever get the sissy haircut. In the summer he stays shaved short, in the winter he gets woolly.
Posted by: Ted at February 12, 2004 08:18 PMEver see the add with the fru fru poodle that says some dogs should be cats?
Posted by: Pete at February 13, 2004 11:40 AMBecause quite often men, unless asleep, eating, or licking themselves, are also yappy.

Posted by: Pete at February 14, 2004 04:34 PMPete- I used to, but since he learned how he never leaves the house.
