I've never been much of a television person...whereas Ted has fond memories of watching shows with his dad, I remember my dad watching Star Trek and football. I wasn't interested in either.
I read a lot of books, instead.
I became interested in football when I was 11 and we moved to the Chicago area. It was January, 1986. Some of you can figure out why I developed an interest at that time.
I never became interested in Star Trek.
Even now, there isn't anything on television that I will actually schedule my life around. It means I can't participate in a lot of television conversations, but I don't really think I'm missing much.

Posted by: Clancy at September 27, 2004 09:35 AMFor me, TV consists of hockey and football on in the background while I'm working on the computer or in the workshop. I'm like you in that I don't have any particular show that I have to see. In fact, I didn't own a TV until I got married.
Posted by: Ted at September 27, 2004 11:01 AMClancy--there was a lot of excitement about football around me, so it piqued my interest. I've been on the Bears' "bandwagon" ever since.

Buffy.
And Star Trek rocked. But then again I was a nerd and probably wouldn't have rated a hottie like you.
