* We're #8!
* You're not. (Just tossing that out there.)
* Somehow, after my one whole month of experience at work, I seem to be regarded as a de facto manager. Whether this is age or ability, I'm not sure. I suspect a combination of both.
* One of my textbooks requires examples of arguments, and whether they are valid, sound, etc. There's a lot of liberal-type stuff going on in the examples. Such as...
Premise 1: If Fox News is a propaganda machine, then it misleads viewers.
Premise 2: Fox News is a propaganda machine.
Conclusion: Therefore, Fox News misleads its viewers.
It must be said that we're more focused on the FORM of arguments than on the CONTENT right now, but it strikes me as a little funny anyway.
* I spent $100 on this book so it could tell me what I already know. (ba-dum-bum!)
Posted by Jennifer at September 6, 2005 09:50 PM | TrackBackNumber 17 is pretty good for GT. Especially because we were unranked to start and made it hard on us by beginning with a game against Auburn. Who did the Chickenhawks beat? Oh yeah, Ball State.
Posted by: Daniel at September 7, 2005 09:27 AMYour jealousy is so obvious. It's sad, really.
Posted by: Jennifer at September 7, 2005 11:56 AMWe're #4 or #6, depending on whose poll you like. :P However, Daniel, your alma mater has my undying gratitude for giving me something about which to razz one of my colleagues who happens to be an obnoxious Auburn alum.
Posted by: Rev. Mike at September 7, 2005 01:40 PMRev. Mike - alas, I wish GT was my alma mater, but it is my current grad school. Hopefully next year it will be my alma mater.
