8/29 Lyrical Pursuit Lyrics

(See rules/intro here.)

Ok if any of you read The Consumerist you would have a good clue as to why I am posting these lyrics.

Flashback to springtime, saw him again,
Would've been good to go for lunch,
Couldn't agree when we were both free,
We tried, we said we'd keep in touch

As usual if you are caught cheating the secretary will disavow any knowledge of your actions.

Whoa, I figured this was an easy one
Clue #1: They are NOT singing about Easter
Clue #2: You might find this group working in a diner
Clue #3: They were best known for their song "I Know What Boys Like"
Clue #4: The song was covered by the Spice Girls in 1998 as a B-side for their single "Goodbye"
Clue #5: The opening lyrics are Bah, humbug!

I'm still drawing a complete blank on the song - but I have the artist.

Thankfully, my daughter was never into them - so I don't know much of their stuff.

Half a dozen more clues and I might just get it though!

It looks like nobody has any idea.

Not many readers of The Consumerist I guess.

Yeah, I guess not. However if you DID read it you would know that they have been complaining about the earlier than ever arrival of Christmas stuff in the stores

I still got nothing!

Posted by: Stephen Macklin at August 30, 2008 06:54 PM

I've got so much nothing I'm going to Google it and disqualify myself from this round

...

I was never going to come up with THAT!

Man, you gotta stop screwin' with the schedule. I knew this one. Keep up with the 80's stuff and I'll blow Macklin away

Victor where have you been all month? I threw the schedule out the window on the first day
